Hey There

Lindsay and I are getting on an airplane at 6:00 tomorrow morning to head back to South Dakota and Iowa for Christmas, but I wanted to get in a quick entry with some pictures from the winter solstice here in Anchorage (and a bonus Molly picture). The solstice coincided with the full moon this year. Here's the moon over Cook Inlet at 8:30 a.m.:

This one shows the moon next to Sleeping Lady mountain across Cook Inlet at 10:00 a.m., right before sunrise:

And here's one from sunset, at about 3:30 p.m.:

And finally, here's one of Molly at an unknown time at an unknown location:

Molly is spending the first of 13 nights at a posh cat hotel here in Anchorage tonight. You might be wondering how much that costs. It doesn't matter. It's worth every penny to make this little angle comfortable.

P.S. I wore a cat sweater for our Christmas party. What do you think: has Lindsay succeeded in transforming me into a cat gentleman?

That's all for now. I promise to try harder to update the blog in 2011. We have a lot of cat pictures to share. Stay tuned.
