Day 3 - Monday, August 10

Day 3 started with a short side trip to one of my favorite places on earth: Turkey Ridge, South Dakota (yes, the Turkey Ridge, South Dakota). Here's my sister Sarah, my grandma (Grandma Turkey Ridge), Lindsay, and me in my grandma's front yard:

After we got out of Turkey Ridge traffic, we headed back to Sioux Falls for a picnic with family and friends. Here we are with my old man:

I got a nice hug from my cousin Jenna:

And Lindsay took a nice picture with The Incredible Hulk (or my cousin James . . . I can never tell the difference):

But my cousin Joey rejected my hug attempt. Apparently he was scared off by my crazy eyes. I don't get it. What kind of 3-year-old doesn't like to hug a psychopath?

By the end of the picnic, Lindsay's neck was aching pretty badly. Thank goodness for our stylish neck pillow:

We ended the night with some Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo at our friend Nate's house. The pictures from that event are not appropriate for this blog.
